Disneyana Collectibles Expo
Yesterday, the Disneyana Fan Club held their 30th annual Disneyana Collectibles Expo in Orange County. Taking place on the fourth and final day of their annual Disneymania convention, the collectibles expo was held in Garden Grove at the Wyndham and provided an opportunity for collectors, vendors and fans to come together.
Items such as signs, name badges, and other paraphernalia from Disneyland as well as other Disney theme parks was one interesting genre. In my walking around the expo, I particularly enjoyed these theme parks items, as well as the various books that authors were selling regarding parks history and more.
Selling, as well as trading, of pins were another activity. Of course, any matter of other Disney paraphernalia was also for sale, whether vintage or newly-fashioned.
In addition to the good being sold, there were also some Disney personalities there, as well, such as Dan Haggerty, who played Grizzly Adams, and Karen Dotrice, who was the little girl in Mary Poppins.
I also found it interesting that there were some places promoting visits there, such as The Walt Disney Family Museum and the Walt Disney Hometown Museum.
Disneyana Fan Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich legacy of Walt Disney. Their goal is to provide Disneyana enthusiasts of all ages from around the world with news, information, and events that enhance their experience with, and love of, all things Disney.
