New Total Wine & More store opened up this weekend

This weekend, a new superstore for liquor-shopping opened up in Long Beach, greatly increasing options for consumers here. With 25,000 square feet, Total Wine & More opened up its thirteenth store in California in Long Beach. Yes, 25,000 square feet!

The new Total Wine & More store carries over 4,500 different beers

Within that massive amount of space is an equally mind-boggling amount of alcoholic beverages: 8,000 wines, 4,500 beers, 2,500 spirits, and more!!! After hearing those numbers over the phone, I had to confirm with the general manager that those numbers weren’t also including those that consumers could purchase online in addition to in-store offerings. He said, yes, that’s how much they have in-store! Wow – a huge boon to those in Long Beach and surrounding areas.

Located at 7400 Carson Boulevard within the Long Beach Towne Center (taking over a Staples store, located next to Ashley Furniture), the new Total Wine & More store opened up on Thursday. In addition to various tastings available to customers, pleasant live music performed by a guitarist accompanied shoppers provided an enjoyable shopping experience.

Additionally, 10% of this past opening weekend’s sales will be going to Aquarium of the Pacific, which should be sizable. While the general manager did not have the numbers today yet as to how much money would be heading towards Aquarium of the Pacific, he did say it was a good weekend.

For those who drink kosher wine, there is a separate section for kosher wines

For locals, this should be a huge boon to booze-shopping options. Yes, for wine-drinkers, having thousands of options will be great, but especially for beer-drinkers, this is an amazing expansion of options locally for purchasing beer. Also, having options of thousands of spirits and liqueurs are not to be forgotten!

Beer-tasting taking place

While there four Total Wine & More stores in Orange County (Brea, Huntington Beach, Laguna Hills, and Tustin) and one up in Redondo Beach, folks in Long Beach and surrounding areas will certainly welcome having not just another option for their purchasing of beer, wine, spirits, and more, but also thousands of such options at such a superstore.
