Orange County International Auto Show Kicks-off Auto Show Season on the West Coast Today

The Orange County International Auto Show takes over Southern California with more than 500 new model vehicles beginning this afternoon through Sunday. Showgoers are invited to head to the Anaheim Convention Center for an up-close look at the latest cars, trucks, crossovers, SUVs, vans and all that is new in the automotive world. From the Toyota FT-1 Concept to the McLaren 570S, the auto show will feature vehicles from nearly 35 manufacturers, 100-plus test drives, ultra-high-end exotics, an off-road test track, alternative fuel options, fun for the little ones and more!

The Orange County International Auto Show kicks-off auto show season on the west coast, offering consumers the chance to compare hundreds of new models side by side, all under one roof. Opening this afternoon, the show hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, Friday: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s a place for attendees to sit in the driver’s seats, inspect engines, kick tires, count cup holders, check trunk space, test drive vehicles and take in that new car smell. Showgoers will also be treated to a look into the future of automotive design with a collection of concept cars including the Toyota FT-1 Concept and Hyundai Santa Cruz Crossover Concept.

Drivers are invited to take their auto show experience from the show floor to the road! More than 100 vehicles from 16 manufacturers will be available for test drives including Acura, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Jeep®, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Ram, Toyota and Volkswagen. Back by popular demand, Camp Jeep® Anaheim returns to the Orange County International Auto Show! Professional 4×4 drivers will take passengers on a thrilling adventure along an off-road test track in a collection of all-new Jeep® models including the Wrangler Unlimited, Wrangler Rubicon, Cherokee Trailhawk and Grand Cherokee. New this year, the auto show will feature an all-new Exotic Gallery that will host a multi-million dollar showcase of exotic vehicles – a collection of masterpieces from the automotive world! Always popular with car aficionados is duPont REGISTRY™ Live’s stunning, multi-million dollar showcase of over-the-top luxury vehicles, sports and celebrity-owned rides! There are also green options at the auto show and attendees can learn about the variety of fuel savings options available to drivers, from hydrogen fuel cell models to gas-electric hybrids.

Every Day is OC Register Family Day! Kids 12 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult, sponsored by the OC Register. The OC Register will also host a Hot Wheels™ Discovery Cube Scavenger Hunt and play area for kids! Little ones will search the auto show floor to find Hot Wheels™ size replicas of vehicles, take Hot Wheels™ for a ride on a 40-ft kid’s track and spin a wheel for special prizes including Hot Wheels™ cars and passes to Discovery Cube Orange County (formerly Discovery Science Center).

Taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at 800 W. Katella Avenue in Anaheim, attendees can follow the signs for convention center parking, located on West Street, just south of Katella. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens (62 and older) and military (w/any DOD ID). Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. All attendees will receive a FREE one-year subscription to Motor Trend magazine with each online ticket order or box office purchase.
