Glenlivet 12 & Glenfiddich 12 [Whiskey Wednesday]
As someone who enjoys whiskey, but is not too particularly knowledgeable about different Scotch whiskies, I was glad to try a couple of well-known Scotches last week. While meeting up with some others, we decided to try some Glenfiddich 12 and some Glenlivet 12.

On the nose, the Glenlivet 12 had a lighter and sweeter nose than did the Glenfiddich 12. Upon reaching the palate, both were smooth, although the Glenlivet 12 was only smooth-ish. Upon the palate, the Glenfiddich 12 was smoother, gliding across it, with perhaps a slight fig scent, while the Glenlivet 12 had more of a burn to it, with some flame.

On the finish, the Glenlivet 12 still had that flame, that burn-ishness, while the Glenfiddich 12 picked up some flame to it. On the whole, while the Glenlivet 12 was decent, I came out enjoying the Glenfiddich 12 better, a smoother beverage.
