2nd Annual Comic Creator Conference in Two Weeks
While one might not expect a conference for those who create comics, there is one such event coming up in the LA-area. Taking place in Long Beach two weeks from today, professional comics creatives are able to enjoy some helpful sessions and useful networking at the second annual Comic Creator Conference.
The event will take place on September 1, 2017, just before the opening of this year’s Long Beach Comic Con. Set away from the hustle and bustle of the show floor, the event is designed as a series of informative sessions hosted by industry leaders in both publishing and entertainment in a professional setting.
Produced by MAD Event Management, the Comic Creator Conference is an event designed to connect professional comics creatives with other high-level industry professionals to empower them with exclusive and personal insight, as well as directly connecting them with decision makers, peers, publishers, and other leaders within the industry.
The event will feature a keynote speech by Greg Goldstein, president & COO of IDW, who will be the first speaker of the event and speaking on the state of the industry. Talks on “Why You Need An Agent and How To Get One”, “Managing Your Own Publicity and Building Your Brand As A Professional”, “Cuba – Separating Truth From Fiction”, “How To Develop Your IP Into Different Media and Protect Your Rights”, and “Developing Different Models for Creator-Owned Work” will follow from other panelists.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to network throughout the day and at a casual cocktail event with a hosted bar and small plate food items for a small admission price of just $20. Tickets are available online.
